I have a Master of Fine Arts Degree from The School for American Craftsmen, at Rochester Institute of Technology at Rochester, NY, 1971. I design and build custom furniture. I prefer using traditional joinery techniques and Northern hardwoods, such as oak, maple, birch, cherry, ash and walnut. I will work in exotics if desired. I prefer natural finishes with no stain. Black Cherry Treasure Chest
This is a treasure chest of black cherry. It is assembled using hand cut dovetail joints. The bottom is a panel of maple that is locked into grooves when the sides are assembled. There is a sliding tray at the top for small treasures.
